So Crypto Rover tagged Grok to select a winner for a giveaway and it began replying about his involvement in pump and dump schemes and sketchy promotions and is refusing to select a winner.

Many are assuming from below post that I do not like shitposts, let me be clear, I love shitposts.
I have been following shitposters since the day I became active on Twitter (late 2021), and I genuinely enjoy the content and have a good laugh often.
I still follow shitposters and like the content, especially in those times when market conditions are bad, it really helps (as a trader especially)
That said, some posts we see are not actually shitposts, they are misinformation labeled as shitposts, and that is what I really dislike.
All I am saying is that balance is better.
Shitposts and educational/ insightful content should coexist and is better for whole Monad Ecosystem

Many in the @Monad community say they are tired of the timeline being full of shitposts or ai slops and lacking good educational or insightful content.
You do not need to write threads or deep takes yourself to help. Just quote tweet good posts when you see them. Even 100 extra views is a win. Big accounts can easily get a post thousands of views and many likes with one quote, if they actually care.
I do this often, takes almost no time and encourages creators to keep posting quality content. That keeps them from chasing engagement with low effort posts, and the timeline improves.
Whether you have 200 or 20k followers, your quote tweet matters. Big accounts can shift the timeline fast though.
Want to fix the scene? Just quote tweet and send your audience to posts that deserve attention and make timeline better. Your audience also gets a balanced mix of content. Everyone wins.
It really is that simple.

NFT projects should not offer free mints just because of community pressure. Almost every team is investing their own money to build and launch their NFT collection, so it does not make sense to give it away for free.
I agree with what @j_u_l_i_a_o said below.
A good read

So on the topic of NFT projects doing free mint:
most of you forget that, unlike defi/gaming/ai/consumer projects, NFT projects don't raise from VCs so all the expenses are out-of-pocket
e.g. some hire ppl they need to pay
some of these projects have been building for monthsss. the chain isn't ready so they have to wait. yet some people are still asking for them to make their NFTs free ??
so in other words:
- you want them to wait for the chain to launch even if it's 2030 to prove their loyalty, so they can't launch on another chain
- they can't raise so the founders are bootstrapping
- they've been building for months, some more than a year (resources spent)
- and you still demand they do a free mint when mainnet comes
ok boss
now don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about obvious scammy NFT projects that just appear & want to mint on another chain bc they want quick $$ (avoid these ones)
I'm talking about those solid ones that have been building for a long time
p.s: it's cool if the team wants to do a free mint
it's totally reasonable to want them to wait till mainnet launch but wanting them to do a 0$ mint bc *checks note* the chain is "community first" is just another level of <idek how to describe it>
ofc I'm open to counter-views
Why would you want an NFT project that has spent reasonable amount of resources & onboarded a lot of ppl from outside the bubble to do a free mint, esp if it's not a mid collection?
