I hate to say this but local-first AI is likely not the answer to consumer AI privacy.
This is for the exact same reasons why "real" p2p never scaled: users simply won't run infra.
The best approach today is likely private cloud AI running on TEEs.

There's got to be $10 billion opportunity for the startup who makes this real

But it's just not where consumer behavior is going.
Users want multi-device sync, backups, and slim/lightweight devices.
TEEs do this today w reasonable privacy guarantees. FHE is eventual ideal solution.
