People who understand the public's savings as "hoarding money" hate their fellow human beings to the core. Just listened to Pascal's episode with a MMT proponent. If you love freedom only one inch, your blood will boil for sure, but it is still worth a listen. The moment you call savings "hoarding money" you basically take away people's freedom. Why? Savings are independence, being entitled to an opinion, the backbone of relying on oneself instead of the state or in short: They draw a positive picture of every human being capable of managing their own life. If you see savings are "hoarding spending power" then you basically say people should rely on the state, not think for themselves, and should not be entitled to an opinion. They should be pigs waiting to get slaughtered (= they should cashflow for an asset owner until their last breath). I am sorry, but I love humanity and I detest people having the MMT outlook on people. MMT is very disturbing & disgusting.
