so much of women’s health stuff is like “yeah we know this because we conducted one study sixty years ago on a single rat. and the rat was male”

the amount of ai shame out there is fascinating. it’s a tool - not unlike the camera, printing press, internet, etc. that lowers the barriers to content production and execution. it’s a stark reminder that deeply embedded in our work culture is the notion that the amount of work, the blood sweat and tears put into something, is a badge of honour. effort over outcome. sure, there’s a lot of ai slop out there. i’m not advocating for comms, concepts, plans, etc that are worse because of the lack of human oversight, thought, and curation. *but* i firmly believe that we need to get over the psychological barrier, the bias, against ai assistance when the outcome arrives faster and better. ofc we still need to use our human brains to have original ideas and shape outcomes, but we’re at a moment where decoupling effort from outcome will actually accelerate our growth and preserve our well being in the process. i do not admire the person merely because they slaved away for days on something. i admire the person who arrived at the best outcome and remained the most relaxed and well in the process.
