My whole life I am trying to surround myself by people much smarter than I am. This isn't me being self-deprecating. I don't think I am stupid. However, I get to spend my time speaking to a broad range of incredibly intelligent people, and I am better off for it. (Plus, I figure I must offer then something otherwise they wouldn't keep me around too...). It gives me a chance to cross-pollinate. It has brought be so many interesting opportunities and alliances over the years. Stop being insecure, we all do or say silly things sometimes. One of the biggest things I’ve learned in the last 5 years of having my own legal practice is that it is OKAY TO SAY NO. Narrowing down my focus and not accepting every client has made all the difference in the world. There really is power in having the ability to say NO.
