For every organ involuntarily taken, there are thousands of willing donors being forcibly prevented from giving their organs to someone they want to save. Why aren't all those deaths newsworthy too?

This is horrible, but I wanna understand what the scale of this is. My timeline is now full of "you should get yourself off organ donor lists".
I don't believe doctors harvest organs from patients who'd otherwise live at a rate that exceeds 1 in a million.
@DanielleFong (Of course in reality they don't actually trade off, we can absolutely increase organ donation rates and decrease the cost while also preventing theft.)
