ego seeking would be so much more fun if people were honest about it, like imagine people having their networths in their bio hahaha and the only reason they don't is because we happen to be in a status seeking era where pretending you dont care about status is high status

i guess though at the time someone reached any significant net worth you probably don't really care anymore, so i guess the problem is that there is no good metric except in new york, this would work so well in new york

status here being a collective word for: fame, recognition, ego, being important in any way, etc
