Lawyers are expensive, but *looking* like you have a lawyer is free. Today, I'm happy to announce my latest project, Heavyweight! Heavyweight lets you take any complaint you have, and make it look like a scary legal document without ever actually claiming to be from a lawyer.

Heavyweight is a project about the aesthetics of the law. If you've ever received a legal notice like a Cease and Desist, you know that the "oh shit" moment doesn't happen once you actually read the letter, it happens the second you open it and realize a lawyer is mad at you.

That's interesting, because that's literally just a function of document formatting. For a profession so focused on words, it's remarkable how much power attorneys express through how they visually arrange them.

Now I know what you're thinking, "isn't pretending to be a lawyer like, really fucking illegal?" And it is! But we never do that. Nowhere in Heavyweight do we ever use terms like "LLP" "JD" "Esq." "Bar" or anything that would represent some claim to legal status.
