Introducing Takes Takes is an experiment designed to provide network participants with a tool to share their ideas about internet native markets in a friendly and transparent way. What might not seem scalable at first, we believe has the potential to unlock new ways for information and value to flow across the internet.

Under the hood, Interface Takes leverages a new primitive, @ecp_eth (Ethereum Comments Protocol), which enables people and agents to share valuable content directly onchain. We’re thrilled to be among the first to adopt this protocol, which we believe could power an entirely new set of shared and composable experiences on Ethereum.

In your Takes, you can now mention tickers without ambiguity – no more guessing which coin the writer meant. We’ve implemented the CAIP-19 standard, enabling you to tag a specific coin directly. For better readability, the client replaces the identifier with the familiar ticker symbol. Plus, when you mention a ticker this way, anyone who copy trades your Take earns you 100% of the swap fees from their trade. So now, your Takes are not just cryptographically provable, timestamped statements on a decentralized ledger – they’re also a way to earn from the community that values your insights.
