A lot of people have called me an InfoFi hater recently I’ll be honest and say that most of the yap-to-earn meta right now is short-term garbage But the recent Kaito update has made more bullish than ever on the future of InfoFi They just announced a major upgrade to how creators are evaluated It's shifting from easy engagement farming to more reputation-based scoring focused on real influence and quality rather than just noise This includes: • Reputation scoring focused on growing a genuine audience • Slashing low-effort content to fight bots and AI slop • Category-based leaderboards to showcase the real noise This is huge It means the dedicated creators who show up everyday and post quality content and have real influence will win I think that algorithms and scoring mechanisms will continue to get better as time goes on The end goal for any InfoFi project should be to reward real social influence, not just any social influence But there's still one major flaw with InfoFi: None of the current systems convert noise into users Everyone’s still optimizing for short-term attention and no one seems to be focused on long-term adoption Mindshare is great, but if it doesn’t lead to real users or onchain activity then what’s the point? Eventually someone will crack the code InfoFi will continue to evolve The projects that figure out how to turn attention into retention will win big Soon (hopefully)
