I spent six hours yesterday putting into words what it’s actually like to build something from zero. I thought about every product iteration, the pivots, every hire and even every mistake. No AI, just the stories I never published. It’s been a year since “founder” disappeared from my title. I realized recently that the deep lessons didn’t show up until after I stepped away. I’ve been posting a lot this year on @xai and it’s really helped me get more clarity. Looking back at today’s writing, I’m convinced that I have accomplished my goal of “thinking in public” with my posts. I deeply appreciate everyone who has read, engaged and/or sent me DMs about what I’ve been sharing 🙏🏽 Based on the feedback so far, I’ve learned that as I think in public, it’s also helping others think for themselves.
