I think I finally understand why so many people think AI x Crypto is a scam. The relationship between crypto and AI should be such that crypto is fully (or optionally so) abstracted, in the backend, facilitating something for the user to do with AI. The current status quo is a rather cringe “look how crypto this AI is!!!” that shoves completely unnecessary UX flows and tokens and jargon in the user’s face, so the user rightfully wonders “why the hell does this thing need to involve crypto?” And in many cases, it doesn’t. The “crypto” part is mainly for marketing. If the AI thing really needs some crypto component, 9 times out of 10 the user doesn’t have to experience that component directly.
