Extremely educational thread that shows the Achilles Heel of many vibe-coding apps (and how customers churn). A founder got super excited and was on track to spend ~$100K/yr with the tool ($8,000/mo) And then… BOOM Agent deleted prod DB (!!). Gives up! Churned - for good?

Vibe Coding Day 9, Yesterday was biggest roller coaster yet. I got out of bed early, excited to get back @Replit despite it constantly ignoring code freezes By end of day, we rewrote core pages and made them much better And then -- it deleted our production database. 🧵
When I hear a vibe coding tool (not just Replit!) go “from $0 to $ N million ARR in 3 months” I do wonder how many of those tools see “spikes” from new customers like this story: massive initial spend (and enthusiasm)… then reality hits (on how this is hard) and they cut back
This is what I mean about ARR vs revenue realized. How much ARR does a customer count for who spends eg $600 in a single day… thus on track for ~$100K ARR if this keeps up, or $8K ARR if this keeps as monthly? But then churns after ~10 days, and actually realized rev is a few hundred?
