New details emerging after a car slammed into 30+ people outside The Vermont nightclub early Saturday.
The driver was pulled from the car and shot by a bystander after the crash.
The shooter fled the scene.
7 victims remain critical, including taco vendors, clubgoers, and valet staff.
The Nissan Versa hit a taco cart, valet podium, and a long line of people outside a reggaeton/hip-hop event.
LAFD first said the driver might've lost consciousness... now says that’s not confirmed.
He was allegedly removed from a nearby business before returning with the vehicle and causing the mass-casualty crash.

🚨🇺🇸 UPDATE: EAST HOLLYWOOD CRASH DRIVER HAD GUNSHOT WOUND, 7 STILL CRITICAL
Officials now say the driver who plowed into a crowd outside The Vermont Hollywood nightclub was found with a gunshot wound and is being treated.
Seven people remain in critical condition after the Nissan Versa slammed into bystanders around 2 a.m. during a packed reggaeton and hip-hop event.
LAFD says the driver may have lost consciousness before hitting a taco cart and crashing into the crowd.
The investigation is ongoing.
