One of the clever affordance/design details on the original Porsche 928 (from 1978) is the side pocket on the door. When closed, it’s an armrest with a little cut out slit to drop things into if you want to hide them away without fully opening the pocket. The slit also serves as a handle grip to fully open the pocket when you press the button that’s nestled into the top of the slit. A complete, considered idea. A full system. Rare to find that degree of consideration in interior trim details these days. Also, how bad ass is that pinstriped upholstery!
