The Israel Defense Force and Shin Bet have released a joint-statement announcing the elimination of Muhammad Uthayn, the Commander of Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah Battalion, in a recent airstrike near Gaza City in the Northern Gaza Strip. Uthayn participated in and invaded Israel during the October 7th attack by Hamas, with him further directing and carrying out numerous attacks against Israeli Soldiers in Gaza. The IDF says his killing “constitutes a significant blow to the functioning of the battalion he commanded and will diminish the battalion's ability to carry out terror operations against IDF troops operating in the area.”
