Twitter did a lot of good for the world. But it’s built to maximize time on app, not quality of experience. And a weird quirk of human behavior is that outrage keeps us engaged, so that’s what the algorithm optimizes for. Farcaster flips that on its head. With @farcaster_xyz, @base, and Uno, we finally have open competition to build the best experience for users. That means developers compete to serve you, not to extract from you. You own your identity. You’re not the product. It won’t flip Twitter’s network effects overnight, but over time, I’d bet on open systems.
