GM 🎞️ Moments of the Unknown. 102 July 18th at 15:25 in Sarasota, Florida

Ethan wanted to take me to the Sarasota Art Museum which wasn't to far from his families home. It was a big surprise in the small town. The quality of art was astounding. Once we walked in to the space we were greeted by a woman named, Debbie. She was giving us vast knowledge about the museum, when it was founded, and all the exhibitions in the museum. I told her she could be an art historian or a curator based on the wisdom she shared. She laughed and smiled and told us she loves her job and loves the art. She spent a lot of time in her life wandering the halls of this gallery. I asked her about the wall behind her at the front desk. It turned out to be her favorite artwork in the museum. The piece that she spends the most time with. It is part of the museum’s signature "Inside Out" installation by Leah Rosenberg. Her site-specific work , 28 Colors, 2019. I had the Super-8 camera and Polaroid with me since I occasionally like to make art with art in museums. We told her about the project and offered to make art with us. She agreed, and in the shot she was telling us all about the work by Leah Rosenberg that she is represented with. Once finished shooting Ethan and I spent a couple hours floating around from room to room. Looking deeply at their entire collection. Thinking about where we exist on the timeline of art history. How will digital art integrate in all of these institutions over time?
