One VERY good question: How did the Windsurf team go from "we don't want Microsoft to access the IP for Windsurf" to "you know what, let's dump the Windsurf product + most of the team and go work at Google (with none of the IP!)" Just a delay tactic to get an all-cash offer?

If we should know anything about Windsurf's founding team (aka Extrafunction) is that they are VERY good at pivoting and making the most out of the market changing. In 4 years, 2 successful pivots and a rebrand. And now an incredible $2.4B exit!!
