New York recently passed a bill to require warning labels on social media similar to those you see on cigarettes or alcohol. The goal? To help users understand the mental health risks of endless scrolls and social media's addictive features. As State Senator Andrew Gounardes, a cosponsor of the bill, put it, “This is about ensuring the internet is a tool that serves us, not the other way around.”
