ended up getting a new SQ5. haven’t owned a car in 6 years, it’s a blast. but buying from dealerships is such a hassle. I called and negotiated on price before I stepped foot in a dealer. Used TrueCar to find a $3k discount and pushed the dealer on that price (they really didn’t want to esp given it being a new redesign model and that the next shipments would incur a 10% tariff). But once in the dealer there were 3-4 more upsell pitches for various things.

casually in the market for a small suv and I don’t think I like any new car at all. everyone is moving to all screen everything, cheap buttons and overused piano black plastic that scratches easily bmw - all screen everything, even a/c. new x3 is insanely ugly and they got rid of x3m. x1 looks okay (except all of their wheels) but interior feels cheap audi - questionable new styling but they tried to reinvent the turn signal with the new q3, and the q5 has an unnecessary passenger side screen and if you don’t want it you get more piano black plastic porsche - interior console buttons now a less tactile piano black button
