The vision for next gen creator tools in Otherside.

In July we’ll see the launch of Bathroom Blitz, Meet Me at the (Clubhouse) Bubble, and the roll out of almost 1,000 assets from all 29 Otherdeed Biomes to ODK developers. These releases set the stage for Otherdeeds and Voyager 2.0 later this year, and the Resources system beginning next year.

Bathroom Blitz is an 8v8 death match in the BAYC bathroom launching in July. Built by Command Line using the Otherside Development Kit (ODK), this is a first look at what external developers have been building. The Experience will stay live for a few weeks while we gather feedback, make improvements, and prepare for more concurrent experiences. This activation starts accumulating Voyager XP. Retroactive XP for prior engagement will roll out ahead of launching the persistent state.

July’s Meet Me at the Clubhouse will be in the newly upgraded Bubbles experience. Integrated community feedback from previous versions: >Improved capacity from 100 people to 500 people in a single Bubble. >Deeplink integration, allowing Bubbles to be streamed to external platforms and users to join directly via link.

August brings us the launch of our second persistent experience - Otherside Outbreak. The Experience will stay live for a few weeks, stress testing our live ops systems, and validating multiple concurrent experiences running ahead of the persistent state release. This activation continues accumulating Voyager XP.

Otherside is a new kind of blockchain platform. When you interact with an object, like a token, you’ll actually be interacting and collecting onchain. Otherside supports ERC-20, ERC-1155, ERC-721 and a few other standards, which means tokens, items, and quests are all seamless onchain transactions. Everything runs on ApeChain - $APE is the coin of the realm.

Not everyone needs to go through the ODK to create on Otherside. Every Otherdeed holder will be able to access creation tools for the graffiti stickers, emotes, and Voyager 2.0 platforms, enabling new content or opportunities to extend the utility of existing collections. These are royalty protected platforms ensuring that creators have an avenue to sustainable ongoing engagement.
