The Beyond upgrade is coming with S2 Review the upgrade proposal now:

Currently, RollApps are limited to posting data on a small set of L1s specializing in DA. Following the Beyond release, Dymension will become a Universal Settlement Layer for all popular L1s (e.g., Ethereum, Solana etc.)

Expanding Dymension's reach is one significant part of the Beyond upgrade - the other is UX. Dymension L1 block time is currently ~5.5 seconds which makes transacting slow. With the Beyond upgrade block time will be reduced to just 1 second.

Fast blocks is just one of the upcoming UX improvements. Beyond will also enable gas-free swaps. Instead of gas, a portion of the swap fees will be used as a replacement.

Stronger economic alignment accelerates with the Beyond release. RollApp creators will be able to use the protocol to easily stream rewards (e.g., RollApp tokens, USDC, DYM) back to users who endorse them. Read more:
