It is highly unlikely Stripe did anything here without an actual legally binding order. They come in many forms (IRS, courts, bank regulators, etc) Stripe should be by default trusted by people from all political stripes - including conservatives.

Children are a blessing. They make everything else better.

People who climb the career ladder by choking the flow of information through the org chart are insanely dangerous. They appear competent for a brief period of time but the house of cards will fall apart and everything will break sooner than anyone thinks it will.

My son: “what is the WiFi password?” Me: “There is no WiFi. We are in a car”. My son, outraged :”You mean there are places where there is no WiFi??” 2 minutes later, he figures out how to turn on hotspot on my phone.

A rise in antisemitism is never random. It’s a symptom. A warning sign. Societies don’t get sick overnight—but this is how you know they already are. The first step to finding a cure is acknowledging that we are sick.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve had multiple Jewish friends tell me that they are leaving Toronto and Canada. They say they no longer feel safe sending their kids to school here. This is just so incredibly sad.

I am now booked on 4 flights from LGA to YYZ today. Let’s see if I can get to Toronto.

I’ve been at LaGuardia since 2:30 pm. My flight just got delayed to take off to 11 pm now. I could have Ubered to Toronto faster. This is the third time this year I would have been better off Ubering than taking Air Canada. Sigh.

I am at the airport with a cancelled flight and therefore a bunch of time. AMA.

Much of the problem with the world is that our culture has become an all you can eat buffet of deadly sins. We are all tempted all the time to do things that are bad for us. This is why @jockowillink is 100% right that the key virtue to develop before all else is discipline.
