A note of thanks to the dedicated staff who have labored for years on stablecoins and market structure. Drafting text, taking comments, and negotiating across the aisle. Tomorrow the President will sign GENIUS and in the coming weeks the senate will take up market structure. All on a bipartisan basis because of the hard work of legislators and their staff.

Really enjoyed co-leading a @thelsuite_co roundtable w/ Tyler. The crypto GC community - collaboration, friendship, brainstorming, shoulders to cry on - is my favorite thing about crypto. <3

Craziest law firm summer associate stories - I'll go first. 1) one of the SA's ordered several straight vodkas while at a yankee game, brought an empty bottle, & poured the vodka in the empty bottle to take home.

When I was 21, I studied abroad in Edinburgh and interned for a member of the Scottish Parliament (a Conservative). One Friday afternoon, he told me he was taking me on an outing. He picked up his wife and the three of us drove out to a truly palatial Scottish estate with lots of Scotland Yard milling around. I was introduced to his old friend, the former Secretary of State for Scotland (the UK gov't cabinet minister representing Scotland), & his wife. Then we walked inside and standing there in a sitting room was Margaret Thatcher. Everyone sat down in upholstered chairs and Lady Thatcher sat on a settee (a tiny couch). She motioned to me to sit next to her. The six of us then proceeded to talk about the future of the Scottish Conservatives (spoiler alert - the party has not done all that well since) for the next hour. She was extremely witty & sharp as a tack.

You guys some things are STILL DEFINITELY NOT ALLOWED by the US regulators. "Tokenized securities are still securities. Accordingly, market participants must consider - and adhere to - the federal securiteis laws when transacting in these instruments."
