Building killer apps takes more than just hype. You need serious horsepower under the hood.
As attention moves from infra to real-world use cases, most chains are still wrestling with the blockchain trilemma. For Fuel, that’s just background noise.
With its custom-built, register-based VM, Fuel is positioning itself as the go-to chain for high-performance finance. It’s fast, scalable, and doesn’t trade off decentralization.
Whether you're deploying on-chain orderbooks or high-frequency trading systems, Fuel brings the firepower to back your build. Emiri breaks down the architecture and tech that make it tick.

FuelVM is the ultimate premier blend.

The choice between EVM and SVM isn't obvious, especially for new crypto devs without bag bias
There's only one chain where you can program for both, that's @fluentxyz

You can chose to optimize merkle tree processing or just outright eliminate them.
Fuel gets rid of them thanks to UTXO's, L2 designs and optimizing for state in advance.

How Things Work #4: The Quick Merkle Database (QMDB) and Fast Ahead-of-Formation Optimization (FAFO)
Today, we discuss how QMDB and FAFO drive (unbelievable) scalability with @ryanzarick, @IsaacN0tNewton, and @Thomas_S_Kim from @LayerZero_Core.
A log is all you need 🪄.

Due to the unique nature of FuelVM, we will achieve the closest to O(1) for order books on-chain with full contract composability.
Own the stack. FuelVM > EVM.

We're building Perpl to be the most gas-optimized CLOB.
Monad uses priority gas auctions, and cheaper transactions have a higher chance of inclusion and (possibly) earlier in the block.
Here is a practical example:
- Market makers have to constantly update their orders on the book using non-matching (post, cancel) orders.
- Cheaper post/cancel = more frequent updates = tighter spreads. That is the objective function!
Poor CLOB designs would make market-making expensive, and those inefficiencies cannot be obfuscated on an L1, unlike on app-chains or beefy L2 sequencers.

We are blobbing on @eigen_da

Fuel Mainnet is now posting blobs on @eigen_da.
We’ve officially migrated Data Availability from Ethereum to EigenDA, unlocking dramatic improvements in throughput and cost efficiency.
By removing the final constraint on our stack, this milestone unleashes the full potential of Fuel - bringing our 150K TPS vision closer to reality.

What's nice @SwayLang's Rust-like language, is that you can publish highly sophisticated libraries and types.
This means creating abstract data structures like red-black trees w/ generics is possible!
Excited to see what gets shipped 🌴

just published my first @SwayLang lib to the Sway registry 🥳
Publishing sway packages is easier than anything.
Just run forc publish and you are all set.
Shill me what you're publishing!
