I would like to announce that I am leaving Cosmos. Every investor in the world has told me Cosmos is cursed. Only now do I understand why. Somehow, as soon as I said “Cosmos,” I was poor, instantly, and all my money had been transferred to a group of validators. When I was in Ethereum and Solana, I was rolling in money. Users were dime a dozen, all I had to do was deploy a website and discord, and my application had instant PMF. Every shitcoin I launched went to $1bn+, without any effort. In Cosmos, I have to do work, and it sucks. Obviously, I am brilliant - but the fact that the ecosystem does not recognize it and reward me is ridiculous. It’s clear that all the users are on Solana. By that, I mean they reside, permanently inside the chain. They have no capability of using my app on Cosmos, even though it’s hosted on a normal website like all the Solana apps. By being on Solana, the users have suddenly noticed me, and I am successful. Because that’s how users work - they only care where you build something, not how good it is. I would like you to please like and retweet this, because I haven’t gotten any attention in this ecosystem, and moving ecosystems is going to solve all my problems. Where does Cosmos Hub (ATOM) go from here? Interchain Labs just announced discontinuing the integration work of the EVM on the Cosmos Hub. That means, the network is no longer going to become a smart contract platform with it's own DeFi layer. Instead, $ATOM will go in a new direction and focus on establishing new business models. In my interview with Interchain Labs co-CEO @0xMagmar, I asked him about exactly that, and how ATOM can be positioned to start capturing value:

I woke up feeling extremely excited. Cosmos has built THE STACK that companies need to come onchain. Blockchain will finally bridge the chasm to the real world. Everything else doesn't matter. Every business will have a blockchain.

I must have missed this, but @ignite is still shipping new versions and remains one of the absolute best ways to scaffold a Cosmos chain. Really cools tuff. It's how I started 3 years ago, and awesome to see it keeps getting better!

BREAKING: @0xMagmar doubles down on amazing transparent communication with re-iterating the short/medium/long-term plans for $ATOM in Telegram: SHORT TERM: - we are starting a pilot program with 10-30 customers. These will be governments, major institutions, non-profits, and existing crypto players. The purpose is to figure out what from the stack is missing, what they will pay for, and how we can monetize/invest into the different services we offer right now. - we are doing bottom-up market research and building relationships with real web2 companies, and figuring out where the best early niches are to get them on-chain via the Cosmos stack - we are doubling down on our relationships with the major new adopters of the Cosmos stack (Ripple, TAC, Ondo etc.) - we are re-opening our exploration with governments of south american countries re/ the CBDC offering - we are exploring how we can monetize all existing elements of the stack and our infra - from Skip:Go, SDK, CometBFT, etc. for existing Cosmos chains MED TERM: - we are doing a complete, massive rebrand of the entire Cosmos ecosystem - we are starting a very weird and interesting ATOM community/ambassador initiative that you'll all be invited to, which I'm involved in and super excited for - we are rebuilding the website and a bunch of our marketing to appeal more to real businesses vs degens - we'll have some major announcements with the pilot partners that we convert - we're building a proper b2b sales team LONG TERM: - we're hoping to get to $100m-$500m in revenue within a few years, much of which will go to monetizing ATOM since that's what we see as our asset - we're hoping to lead the entire "real business -> blockchain" movement, since what businesses need is sovereignty, interop, and privacy - all of which we have - like Ripple, IBC can be a credible replacement to Swift, and we can use the Hub as a central routing point for all these new chains with Eureka
