Democracy is a structure where the majority vote wins by definition and that ain’t us. So let’s shift our attention to financial literacy. Takes money to go to war so arguing with anyone with empty pockets is pointless. No matter how we slice it it’ll always circle back to… financial literacy. Young black men robbing and killing why? Because of lack of financial literacy. No opportunities. They can’t get hired by black people because we struggle to provide jobs for ourselves. ironically given my last post i was grabbing coffee with a friend this afternoon who runs a crypto social startup. he said something that was interesting that stuck with me: his interests & his users’ interests often don’t align. he’s trying to build something meaningful, but a lot of people show up just wanting to get rich… i.e. not to necessarily deeply invest in the platform, not to experience it but to win a lottery. crypto in many ways was supposed to unlock broad value through ownership but with stuff like this it seems to attract gamblers looking for liquidity.

When I started in this space, I was under the impression that the “cool” “rich” traders would only like me if I was rich too. Money blows if the beholder sucks. I’m in chats with all walks of wealth and the gatekeeping doesn’t involve a certain wealth “level”. TLDR: don’t larp & be kind.
