We're building Perpl to be the most gas-optimized CLOB.
Monad uses priority gas auctions, and cheaper transactions have a higher chance of inclusion and (possibly) earlier in the block.
Here is a practical example:
- Market makers have to constantly update their orders on the book using non-matching (post, cancel) orders.
- Cheaper post/cancel = more frequent updates = tighter spreads. That is the objective function!
Poor CLOB designs would make market-making expensive, and those inefficiencies cannot be obfuscated on an L1, unlike on app-chains or beefy L2 sequencers.

Building in crypto since 2017 taught me one thing:
As a founder, your ability to remain antifragile in chaos defines your culture, team, community, and users’ trust.
You are not "unlucky". This industry is brutal by design.
Liquidity crunches, protocol hacks, new shiny competitors, twitter trolls, smear campaigns, new fud, old fud, or even just token price action turning you from hero to zero overnight.
It's your job to work through all of it.
How do you optimize for antifragility?
- Cut weak links fast. Dead weight compounds risk.
- Hire for grit, work ethic, and long term attitude.
- Decentralized knowledge.
- Stay liquid. Optionality is survival.
- Build slow to move fast.
Build things that gain from disorder.
Build antifragile.
