My main disagreement with @naval is that even if he advocates chasing wealth, as in building assets that earn while you sleep, rather than status or money, I still find this pursuit less compelling than striving for virtue. Virtue is one of the few things fully under your control, and it uplifts not only yourself but also those around you. Of course, this doesn’t mean that pursuing wealth and virtue can’t be aligned but I believe that many times they do confront each other.
