Things I'm interested in today: (07.18.2025)
- Crypto bill signings. We've got a bumper crop of real legislation headed to the White House today to finally give some semblance of framework for our magic internet money to not be forever vilified (even if it isn't perfect). It's the golden age. Also will be looking for a smidge more info on the EO that supposedly opens up 401k funds to crypto investment...if I'm understanding it correctly, it's big...and probably leads to a hilarious blowup eventually.
- Revenue generating businesses. For a very long time the traditional world has understood that cash flow and revenue are requirements for any business/project/side hustle. Crypto just straight up ignored this (mostly due to regulatory issues) for a long time. That's no longer the case, and I want to find some under the radar products/apps/protocols that are silently cooking with gas.
- Political risks for markets. Feels like every time in the last 6 months we've been close to breakout velocity something extremely weird/bad/etc has shown up and tanked things. I'm keeping a close eye out for anything that might spook the markets while SPY is charging through ATHs. Powell firing/Epstein Grand Jury shenanigans/major departures from WH policy staff...etc I don't really know what could come in to hurt us at this point, but I'm keeping my head on a swivel.
Hoping to have some more crypto-specific apps and toys to look at next week!

Things I'm interested in today: (07.16.2025)
- Crypto week. Specifically passage of the GENIUS Act. It's a good bill (imo). It gives some real structure for stablecoin issuance. It explicitly prohibits development of a CBDC. It needs to pass. Let's get it done.
- DeFi. There's a lot of free money hanging around if you're willing to put in some time to optimize. I'm currently getting 18% APY on my BTC through the tBTC incentivized pool on Hydration. There were some rumors about a similar hydrated pool for SOL...if that happens, I'm bridging 90% of my liquid SOL to Polkadot. Alongside DOT farms, there's a lot of interesting DeFi being built on HL. I've got funds in Liminal and Project X (and need to spend time working out a strategy for Felix and a couple others). Probably also need to check out the Blackhole DEX that went live on Avalanche yesterday.
- Yeet. I saw a click from Mando yesterday I think that they've given their team a hard deadline for the sportsbook going live as the start of the NFL season. I had so much fun playing live sports on IKB during Blast season, so getting to farm the Yeet airdrop while playing DFS (or other sports parlays) would be awesome.
- Capital formation spots. We've seen a lot of new capital formation success over the last couple weeks. Extremely successful ICOs, ICM on Solana via Believe (still not sold on this), and a new capital formation product coming from the big K soon (based on teasers in the discord). Crypto is the "chance to make it" for anyone under the age of 40 that we never got in the traditional markets or real estate. Don't miss your shot.
