VCs always ask "how did @Meow get to billions with only 22 people?" They're looking for an answer they can understand. But they won't get it. The truth is, we never really thought about distribution when we started. We're quite bad at it. We build products customers want, then we listen to those customers, then we build the next one. And when we do so faster than competitors, I believe it's because we're more savage and frankly more grateful to be here. When I explain that to VCs, their eyes glaze over because it's not something they can model. But any founder knows it's how generational companies are actually built.
