They were trying to jail him for the rest of his life. If Trump had not won the election, he would be in prison right now. And just like during the Biden years, nobody on social media or in government would be mentioning the name Epstein.

If I were Dan Bongino, I would resign immediately. I wouldn't make it a choice between myself and Pam Bondi. By now it should be clear to him that the job is all downside, no upside. The FBI's reputation has been so destroyed over the past couple of decades that there isn't anything that anybody is going to do (aside from closing down the entire FBI, which isn't going to happen) that is going to fix it. There also isn't anything that is going to be released regarding Epstein that is going to satisfy the mob. The FBI could lock up every child trafficker in the world and there would still be people calling for resignations because "They didn't release the list!" As if some list is sitting at FBI headquarters. Speaking and posting about Epstein is great for engagement. It's also a great way for Trump haters to attack his administration. A few years ago CNN was doing segments on "MAGA thinks there is an Epstein conspiracy." Now CNN is running segments on "What is Trump hiding?" A few nights ago Jake Tapper, a man who previously berated Aaron Rodgers for his Epstein conspiracy theories, declared that Trump is lying to everyone about Epstein. Even the Democrats are now faking interest in the Epstein saga. Any conspiracy theory about Epstein is guaranteed to get a ton of engagement. Epstein was CIA. Epstein was Mossad. Epstein isn't really dead, check the ear lobes. "I care about the Epstein victims." No you don't. You didn't say or post anything about Epstein's victims even once over the past six years. But it's hot now and you just needed something to post. Also fashionable now is posting Trump hate. "I didn't vote for this." They said Trump's tariffs were going to make everything unaffordable. Didn't happen. They said he was starting WWIII. Didn't happen. They said he was granting amnesty. Isn't happening. Now they claim to regret voting for Trump because of the Epstein stuff. Really? The administration is not perfect but it's a million times better than the past four years and infinitively better than the alternative with Kamala. The FBI is a disaster. It's not Bongino's responsibility to fix it. He has already served his country. "So you are saying he should be a coward and give up?" No, it's not cowardice. He doesn't owe anybody anything. He especially doesn't owe anything to the people that have turned on him in less than six months on the job. Patel seems to want to do this job. I get the impression that Bongino doesn't enjoy it. If he's not happy and feels that he can make a bigger impact doing something else, then he should do it. Life is short. Family is pretty much all that matters. The Democrats do nothing but obstruct, troll, and incite people to destroy the opposition. And a significant portion of Republicans secretly hate Trump and are looking for any reason to join in on the attacks. It's going to be a vicious battle the next three years, as it was during Trump's first term. What's the perfect smear now? Just accuse somebody of having something to do with Epstein. The Epstein case is going to be used to relentlessly attack people who had nothing to do with him, the case, or his crimes. Bongino is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Leave and he will be attacked. Stay and he will be attacked even more. But he should do what is best for him and his family. Even the richest man in the world felt the cost of getting involved and took a step back. Plus, Pam Bondi is a dimwit. I have no idea why Trump chose her. I'm sure she has done some good things in her career but in no way at all does she come across as intelligent or capable. Trump should have to own up to choosing her. Let him deal with that mess.

2018. FBI Director Christopher Wray is asked if there is a deep state at the FBI. He answers by claiming he doesn’t know what the term deep state means. Remember when his FBI sat on Hunter’s laptop for a year to help Joe Biden in 2020? That was awesome.

Camp Mystic, where many adults and children lost their lives during the recent flood, is located in an area with a long history of deadly flooding. Some of the camp's cabins, built many years ago, are located in high risk flood areas. In 2019 the camp began an expansion. Instead of moving the high risk cabins, they built new cabins for children even closer to the river. They built cabins in the river's floodway. A high risk area will probably flood at some point. A river's floodway is meant to carry floodwaters when the river overflows. That's where the camp built cabins. How was this even possible? It's not as if Texas has no building codes and regulations, they have plenty, on virtually every aspect of construction. The NY Times put up a story about this with no paywall. I will post the link. If the info is accurate, I don't understand how this was allowed to happen. If I'm missing something let me know. On a side note, across the country there are states spending insane amounts of money on fighting climate change, while at the same time not doing the basics to protect people from natural disasters that they know are coming. Even Texas has its own set of arbitrary climate change goals and regulations. "43% greenhouse gas emissions by 2030." CA spends billions every year on climate change and the LAFD didn't have money to pay mechanics to fix its fire trucks. On a federal level, the 2021 Infrastructure Act spent $1.2 trillion. Imagine how little of that money was spent on things people need today.
