crypto is becoming more and more professionalized (which is somewhat of a good thing) but the biggest mistake we could make is trying to clone web2 culture and fall into the same traps already seeing this happening with few projects

why arent more chains gasless or at least using sponsored gas? it’s one of the biggest blockers for new users most people arent used to paying a fee every time they click a button imagine if every like or payment on a web2 app asked you for $0.37, no one would use it

some upcoming apps i like: - @meleemarkets permissionless prediction market, perfect example of a fun consumer app - @Euphoria_fi trading made interactive. kind of apps that are pretty addictive and fun - @noise_xyz mindshare trading. starts crypto-native but imagine this with celebrities, athletes, politicians?? normies would be in heaven - @sproutfi_xyz onchain wealthfront. less flashy, but huge potential for everyday users who just want simple and personalized yield - @3janexyz undercollateralized loans. more big brains but definitely innovative and cool for nerds like me

the moment we’ve that app, crypto has won - app discovery will be way easier - you can have a single consolidated wallet - you can abstract anything related to chains - you have an interface that people are used to in web2 this is the bottleneck rn

real world users want fun real world users want simplicity real world users want crypto that they understand

dream: an app to access all apps

can we just name every raise by its actual purpose? testnet round, ecosystem round, mainnet round feels so much clearer and reflect where the project is / what the money is for ggwp, app firsts, blended is the endgame

distribution + quality apps great distribution is cool, but if you funnel people to trash apps with trash ui, retention is going to be near zero and this cycle will be another failure in terms of adoption
