#ETH is doing well since it went home.
But #ALTs are collectively bleeding to #ETH.
You don't need a basket of 100 altcoins to have exposure to the move.
I'm not saying you can't have your "token" ALT (heh) that you married a few years ago, but a portfolio mostly of just BTC and ETH is going to likely perform better than a portfolio of BTC and 100 different ALTs. Yes, some ALTs may do better, but many others will likely fade.

The collective Altcoin Market has been bleeding to #ETH ever since #ALT / #ETH pairs hit their range highs.
Some ALTs are indeed outperforming ETH, but a majority of ALTs are bleeding to ETH since ETH went home on its USD pair.

But this chart shows #ALT / #ETH pairs.
We just saw #ALTs get rejected on their #ETH pairs around the same spot they got rejected last cycle.

Once again, #ALT / #BTC pairs put in a low in June (similar to 2022, 2023, and 2024).
While I think #ETH / #BTC has bottomed for this cycle, I think there are decent odds that the collective #ALT / #BTC market goes lower by early Q4. This means that liquidity should flow from ALTs back to BTC, but again this process could easily be several weeks away.
This does not apply to every altcoin. Some ALTs (like XRP) showed their double bottom last year and likely won't put in new lows on their #BTC pairs this cycle.

The last 2 summers #ALT / #BTC pairs found some brief relief before heading lower into Q4. The larger bounce by ALT / BTC pairs over the last few years did not occur until November.
